ABOUT THE AUTHOR M. Scott Peck was an internationally renowned psychiatrist, lecturer, bestselling author and influential spiritual guide. After giving up his psychiatric practice in 1983, Dr Peck devoted much of his time and financial resources to the work of the Foundation for Community Encouragement, a nonprofit organization which he and his first wife, Lily, helped found. A prolific writer, he was the author of 15 books on spirituality and self- improvement, including the multi-million copy bestseller The Road Less Travelled and the autobiographical In Search of Stones. Scott Peck died in 2005 at the age of 69. Also by M.
